About Us

High School Hackathon hosted by CRHS IDEA

A fun experience for all high schoolers

Work together with a small team of up to 4 people to create a project that can help solve problems, change the world, or just look really cool

It's ok if you don't know how to code! Part of the fun of a hackathon is learning. We provide high quality workshops so even if you don't know a line of code, you'll be able to contribute by the end

Form a Team

Come with a team of friends, or find people to work with you through team building

Ideate

Come up with an idea for a project that is fun to make, cool to see, and impactful for our community

Plan

Plan out what needs to get done in the next 24 hours, and split the tasks amongst your teammates

Hack

Get to work on creating your project! Remember to take breaks

Present

Show your project off to a panel of judges! Talk about what makes it useful/practical/impactful

Win

Once everyone has presented, the judges will decide winners for each of our tracks!

Frequently asked questions about our hackathon, or hackathons in general

  • What is a hackathon?

    A hackathon is an invention marathon. Students come together to build cool software & hardware hacks over 24-48 hours. It’s very beginner friendly.

  • Nothing. Attending a hackathon is free.

  • Yes. Only students who are currently enrolled at a college/university or have graduated within the past 12 months are eligible to attend.

  • The event is being hosted at [insert venue location here].

  • Major League Hacking is the official student hackathon league in North America & Europe. We work with over 200 Member Events and empower over 70,000 students every year.
